Drain Cleaning FAQs
How do I know if I need professional drain cleaning?
Signs include slow draining sinks/tubs, gurgling sounds, recurring clogs, bad odors from drains, or multiple fixtures draining slowly. If store-bought drain cleaners don't work, call a professional.
Are chemical drain cleaners safe to use?
We don't recommend chemical drain cleaners. They can damage pipes, harm septic systems, and often don't fully clear clogs. Professional drain cleaning is safer and more effective long-term.
What is hydro jetting?
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water (up to 4,000 PSI) to thoroughly clean pipes and remove grease, scale, roots, and debris. It's the most effective drain cleaning method for stubborn blockages.
How often should drains be professionally cleaned?
We recommend annual drain cleaning for most homes. Restaurants and commercial properties may need quarterly cleaning. Regular maintenance prevents costly emergency calls.
Do you offer camera inspections?
Yes! We use video camera inspections to locate clogs, cracks, root intrusion, and other pipe problems. This allows us to diagnose issues accurately without guesswork.

Often a drain issue is not the result of a particular stoppage but instead from a build-up over time. This is the type of situation that can be eliminated with regular drain cleaning. Since a backed-up drain can result in costly water damage, this is a good plan for at least avoiding this type of clogging condition. Drain cleaning can also be a preemptive way to learn about potential pipe problems. In regards to how often you should consider drain cleaning services, we are more than happy to help you determine the best schedule for your situation. A number of factors come into play, such as whether you have a residential or commercial building, how often the drains are used on a daily basis, etc. We will also be able to judge by the condition of your property’s pipes to some degree. Because other things can happen that can also cause a clogged drain, drain cleaning is not a 100% guarantee that you won’t experience a slow or clogged drain ever again, but the chances are minimized drastically. Saving what could be a few calls a year is less frustrating, time-consuming, and costly.
